As you all know, Hero is not known for exerting himself these days.
But winning Bissell's MVP contest, in order to help other retiring greyhounds, (who are still in need of forever homes); is such a worthy cause, he could not just lie around and do nothing.
The winner gets $10,000 for their charity of choice!
So it is official- he is actually in the "running".

My mom is really upset that you decided to start running again on the same week that a SEGA hound also decided to put his foot back on the track. You know you would have had her vote if you hadn't been running against a hound that promised to benefit the group that rescued me. Let's coordinate better next time so we don't split our votes!!

No hard feelings (I certainly would have voted for Drew too, if we hadn't entered Hero for the same week). We all have the same goal in mind- to get a retired greyhound to win this thing!
